Program 03
Artisan Livelihoods
Supporting artisans, craft producers, women-led home enterprises, and rural micro-producers with design, market access, digital tools, and producer collectives.
The need
Many rural artisans and micro-producers carry skill without market power. They often face weak pricing, limited design support, dependence on middlemen, lack of digital presence, and limited access to working capital or modern equipment.
The Artisan Livelihoods Program is designed to strengthen income, dignity, and market readiness.
The approach
The program works through five steps:
- 01Identify artisan clusters and producer groups.
- 02Document existing skills, products, pricing, and constraints.
- 03Provide design, packaging, quality, and language support.
- 04Enable digital marketplace access and local collective branding.
- 05Support producer groups with mentorship, equipment access, and market linkages.
